Daywise Itinerary
Fly into Port Blair Airport. Our representative will meet and assist you at the Veer Savarkar Airport. Board the waiting vehicles, drive to your hotel/resort, and check in. The first half of the day is at leisure. Later in the afternoon visit Cellular jail followed by a light and sound show. The Cellular Jail has a pride of place in India's freedom struggle. Many stalwarts were imprisoned here. Declared a national memorial, this three-story prison constructed by Britishers in 1906, is a pilgrimage destination for freedom fighters. This colossal edifice has mutely witnessed the most treacherous of inhumane atrocities borne by the convicts, who were mostly freedom fighters. The day draws to a gentle close with the Sound and Light Show at the historic Cellular Jail which gives you a vivid experience of its strong association with the freedom fighters and their struggle for independence. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today I embarked on a half day trip to two island cruises. It covers a panorama of seven harbours that includes North Bay & Ross Island, leaving a lasting impression. Ross Island, once the administrative headquarters of the British and capital of these Islands, is now under the Indian Navy. It stands now as a ruin of the bygone days with the old structures almost in debris. There is a small museum named Smritika, which holds photographs and the other antiques of the Britishers relevant to these Islands. Overnight stay at Port Blair.
Early morning to Havelock Island, 54 km from Port Blair is one among the most popular destinations. Then proceed to the selected resort to relax. After Lunch enjoy the famous Radhanagar Beach (Ac Car will be provided for pickup and drop, time spent 3-4 hours). This beach has been consistently rated as one of the best beaches in Asia. After Breakfast proceed to Elephant beach is one of the jewels in the crown of Havelock and is a twenty-minute ferry ride from the Havelock dock. Spend the day doing water activities like snorkeling, banana boat ride, underwater walking. Night at leisure. overnight stay at Havelock Island.
