Upon your arrival at Colombo International Airport, our representatives will be there to extend a warm greeting and facilitate your comfortable transfer to Kandy. En route to Kandy, we'll make a brief but meaningful stop at the renowned Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, a must-visit attraction in Sri Lanka. Here, tourists and locals alike delight in meeting and interacting with the 65 captive elephants, each with its own unique story of rescue from various challenging situations. Whether orphaned from a young age, elderly matriarchs unable to survive in the wild, or adults that endured unethical treatments, these elephants have found sanctuary here. Located approximately 90 km from Colombo, the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage offers a heartwarming experience with these gentle giants. After enjoying your time with the elephants, we'll continue our journey to Kandy, where we'll check-in at the hotel, allowing you to rest and rejuvenate for the night in this charming city.

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel as we embark on a captivating full-day excursion to Sigiriya. Our first destination is the renowned Sigiriya Rock, aptly named for its lion-like shape. Translating to "Lion Rock" in Sinhala, it has been honored with UNESCO World Heritage status since 1982. The Chulavamsa, a historical record of Sri Lankan monarchs in Pali, recounts that King Kasyapa selected this rock as his capital city. Immerse yourself in the historical charm as we stroll inside the rock fortress, now transformed into a museum showcasing paintings of monarchs and royal family members. Continuing our journey, we'll drive to the Dambulla Golden Rock Temple, the most well-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. With roots dating back over 22 centuries to the 1st century BC, this pilgrimage site houses vibrant frescoes depicting Buddhist mythologies on the cave ceiling. Marvel at the extensive collection of Buddha statues during your exploration. As the sun sets, we'll return to your Kandy hotel, where you'll spend the night after a day filled with historical wonders.

Following breakfast, proceed to visit the Dalada Maligawa, also known as the Temple of the Tooth Relic, in time for the 'Pooja.' Situated in the city of Kandy, Sri Dalada Maligawa holds immense significance as a Buddhist temple located within the royal palace complex. Housing the relic of the tooth of Buddha, this sacred site has been a focal point in local politics throughout history, with the belief that whoever possesses the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, in part due to the historical importance of this temple. As part of your visit, experience a typical Sri Lankan Cultural show, featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing, adding a vibrant cultural touch to your exploration.

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a trip to Nuwara Eliya, aptly named the "city of light." Renowned for its tea production and the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, Nuwara Eliya earned the moniker "Little England" due to its influence by English architecture after the introduction of tea cultivation from China. Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes resembling an English countryside with valleys, waterfalls, and hills, complemented by cottages and mansions featuring Queen Anne-inspired features. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, our first stop is Hakgala Gardens, encompassing five Botanical Gardens, including the Royal Botanical Garden and Hakgala Botanical Garden. With a rich history and legend, it's believed that Hakgala Gardens were gifted by Ravana to Sita as an Ashok Vatika. Explore the gardens, and in the area known as Sita Eliya, discover a temple dedicated to the Goddess Sita. In the heart of Nuwara Eliya lies Gregory Lake, artificially built in 1873, offering a scenic lake park perfect for picnics, swan boat rides, and jet skiing. Don't miss the charming Victoria Park, initially a research field for Hakgala Botanical Garden, transformed into a public park in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Admire the natural lakes created by the River Nanu Oya, enhancing the park's beauty. Our journey continues to explore the Tea Factory and Tea Plantations, providing insights into tea processing and brewing. After a day of exploration, we'll return to your Kandy hotel in the evening for a relaxing overnight stay.

Savor a delicious breakfast at your Kandy hotel. Following this, we'll proceed with the check-out process. Later, we will arrange your transfer to Colombo Airport, ensuring you reach on time for your return flight home.
