Traverse the mangrove forest, spot 19 endemic species, and marvel at the beauty of 64 islands – a haven for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers. Witness traditional Stilt Fishing and catch glimpses of rare bird species and reptiles. Next, visit the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project to witness turtle hatching. Established in 1981, this project nurtures newborn turtles in tanks before releasing them into the wild, contributing to their survival. Explore five endangered turtle species, interact with them, and even hold the adorable babies. For thrill-seekers, Bentota offers optional water sports like tube riding, banana boat, or jet skiing (additional cost). After an exhilarating day, return to the hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Today, we will head towards Galle early in the morning to capture the unique charm of this southwestern part of the island. Our city tour commences with the iconic Galle Fort, a Dutch colonial marvel completed in 1663, boasting a blend of European and Sri Lankan architectural influences. Recognized as a World Heritage Site since 1988, it promises a historical journey. Don't miss the Galle National Museum, showcasing artefacts crafted from ebony, tortoise shell, and aged wood—a testament to a bygone era. Later, we head to Hikkaduwa, a charming coastal town with stunning reefs and beachside restaurants. Explore the turquoise waters at Hikkaduwa Beach, indulge in snorkeling or windsurfing, and savor local delicacies from the nearby shacks. Consider a bicycle tour to discover more of the island's beauty. As the day concludes, we return to Bentota for a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Today promises excitement as we embark on a thrilling adventure into the southern sea for Mirissa Whale Watching. The day trip spans a few hours, beginning with your driver awaiting your arrival at the rendezvous point to transport you to the dock. For an additional fee, you can board a boat that sets sail into the sea, offering a delightful picnic breakfast amidst the waves. Revel in the sea's beauty during the approximately 5-hour journey as we seek the awe-inspiring sight of the world's largest mammals—the blue whales. Upon returning to the shore, we will proceed to indulge in a delectable lunch at Paradise Beach Club Restaurant (separate bills to be settled by guests). Enjoy your meal before unwinding by the pool, which boasts a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. Our return to Bentota will be via a scenic cruise.
